A forum especially made for teachers!

Hi everyone!

I wanted you all to know about an exciting new outlet for this group, where I hope we will be able to chat in real time. It is called the Teacheroo! App. I have supported shaping this app (available on Apple and android) and I think it will be a really great resource for teachers. It is FREE to sign up and it has fantastic groups, such as: diversity in education, EdTech, EFL community, NQTs, Nursery and Early Years, Outdoor Provision and much more. But the newest addition is….New to International Teaching group! Come join!

I have a link below will give you instant access to the group and you can add all the other groups you like too. You can not find my group without the link, so it’s a bit exclusive! So click on the link and join 😊

I look forward to the chats we can have on there and seeing you across the other groups. There are also articles posted regularly and it is a fabulous way to network with teachers and admin across other schools.

I hope you are as excited as I am!

Jess Gosling, experienced international teacher within the British Early Years sector

Welcome to my page! Thank you for taking the time to visit.

I am an Early Years teacher whom, for more than 10 years, has been internationally. My current international placement is in Taipei, Taiwan. Prior to my move to East Asia, I have taught in both local/state and international schools in England, Egypt, Japan, and Vietnam. My roles have varied, beginning as an Assistant Langauge Teacher (EAL), moving on to a Teaching Assistant and then to qualify as a Teacher in 2008. My specialism was KS1, but over time my passion has been in the Early Years sector.

The aim of this web page two-fold, to encourage dialogue with others relating to all things Early Years and to support teachers’ move internationally. I’m keen to see where this page could lead!

Please feel free to contact me with questions, I am always happy to help when I can.

I have a several platforms including this page to support international teachers. The first is a Facebook page and group, so if you want your questions answered by a number of teachers, try here: New International Teachers group on Facebook. The second is on the Teacheroo! app, which offers a ‘chat’ experience in real-time.

My plans this year:

To publish a ‘pocket-guide’ for new teachers in 2021, wishing to begin their international teaching career. This will be a guide written from a teachers perspective in an informal, direct style. It will also include the perspective, views and advice of multiple teachers, heads and recruiters. This guide will give you all the basics, in one place, saving you time and energy! If you are interest in this please contact me through the contact page and I will add you to the mailing list.

As I continue to write and contribute to podcasts/training, I will add these to my ‘about me’ page. Please check this to see if any of this work with support you. The podcasts in particular provide insights into working abroad.
